Product Improvements

• You can now lock cost estimates and compensation calculations to help prevent accidental changes from occurring.
• AIRINC Cost Estimate data update - Updated AIRINC data to the latest available set and corrected an issue where rent and utilities were displayed as monthly values instead of annual.
• Updated the cost estimate templates list to show longer template names rather than only the first few characters.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue with pagination in reports.
• Fixed an issue where salary was not being required when it should be for initiations.
• Fixed an issue on initiations that caused the initiation to fail if employee address was included but no country.
• Updated tax engine to correct an issue with the amount of hypothetical tax included in company-source compensation in the US domestic assignment cost estimate template. Previously, the hypothetical tax applied to company-source compensation was the assignment portion, causing an overstatement of tax. This has now been updated to include the annual amount.

New Feature: Compensation Calculations

You can now generate annualized compensation calculations directly from a cost estimate or case, using one of 3 different approaches.
Available calculation types:

• Home-based – Calculate compensation anchored to the employee’s home country.
• Host-based – Calculate compensation based on the host country’s pay structure.
• Gross-to-Net – Calculate net pay from gross compensation values.

Key capabilities:

• Create and manage multiple compensation calculations within a case.
• Create compensation calculations from an existing cost estimate with your numbers copied over (excludes AirInc numbers unless you are using your own subscription).
• Share calculations with stakeholders, similar to cost estimate sharing.
• Export reports in multiple formats: .xlsx, .pdf, and tax reports.
• Access a calculation history for easy tracking and updates.
• Calculate line items using your AirInc or Mercer data subscription, or Workia provided Mercer data.
• Message us in the app with any questions!

New Feature: Global Search

The system search has been updated with a new global search feature that allows you to search on a much wider set of data. Over time the scope of what can be searched will continue to grow.

​Current functionality:

• Search results will now include cases, tickets, documents, profiles, comments, and emails.
• Comments and Emails: You can now search for specific comments and emails within tickets, cases, or trips.
• People Profile Section: Easily find users related to cases, displaying their names and the number of associated cases.
• User Interface Improvements: New search drawer design and layout for better usability and consistency.

Updates to Cost Estimate Credits

Cost estimate credits have been updated from one-to-one basis: one credit = one cost estimate click. This change is to support flexibility with the new compensation features coming (balance sheets, gross-to-net calculations, etc.).

​What has changed?

• Your existing credits have been converted into a larger number, based on what you originally paid.
• The cost per estimate has also increase to match, so there’s no overall change in cost - just bigger numbers for both cost and credit.
• You can now use credits across both cost estimates and compensation calculations, instead of needing separate credit pots for each.
• If you see anything untoward re your new credits total, please message us.

Product Improvements

• A new Indiana County tax position as been added to cost estimates.
• Added a notification for users attempting to add a duplicate column to reports, indicating that the column is already in use.

Fixes

• Fixed issues with approval requests not displaying correctly on dashboards or reports.
• Fixed a reporting issue where organization type was not pulling correctly.
• Fixed an issue where domestic assignments did not have an end date input for cost estimates on plans.

Tax Engine Update

• Updated the cost estimate tax engine to version 25.5 of the Equus tax engine, which includes the addition of a new Swiss canton: Aargau. (You need to be logged into Workia to view this article).

Product Improvements

• Updated the contact type assigned to collaborators and stakeholder initiators to "Case Initiator" for clarity when creating cases.
• You can now configure the (reasonably new) Bonus section to appear in the additional information step of initiations.
• Comments, tickets and documents can now be added to a bonus record.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue with the page count and items per page in reporting.
• Fixed an issue in reports that caused some columns to show the wrong title and date formats when Workia ID was the second column in the report.
• Fixed an issue where some filters were not working correctly in reports.

• You can now track employee bonuses using the bonus tab within the compensation section of a case. This can be used in reports, document templates and imported in bulk.
• We have updated the currency table to ensure all currencies match the currencies within the cost estimate tax engine.

• Fixed an issue where a large amount of comments and cases could cause the stakeholder landing page to timeout.
• Fixed an issue that prevented collaborators from saving a plan with a cost estimate.

• We have added a new template type, to calculate US domestic relocation cost estimates, with the option to equalize or apply tax protection.

Product Improvements

• We completed a full optimization of the App, for a faster and smoother employee experience.

Mobility Mobile App

• You can now manage restricted cases, VIP and tag features in Mobility Cases.
• The immigration and tax sections in a case record now show the new fields and status added recently (alignment with web app).
• We fixed a minor issue with count of cases in the Case List.

Workia Outlook Add-in

• We've improved the Mobility Case creation process in Outlook, with a slicker UI.
• We've added the capacity to set a case as Restricted or VIP on Case creation, from within Outlook.

Fixes

• Fixed an issue where adding a contact in initiations did not work if the user already existed in the system with different capitalization in their email.

New Feature - Restricted Access Cases

• You now have the ability to restrict access to cases, limiting visibility only to designated users, including mobility and collaborators. This feature ensures greater control over case security when necessary. Once a case is designated as restricted access, you can easily share it with others and see who else has access.
• Groups have also been added so that you can share access with a group of users instead on individually. The new groups feature will also be added to other areas such as ticket and checklists in the near future.

• Performance improvements have been made to increase the overall speed of Workia and to improve reports.

• You can now link a trip to a case when importing trips.

Product Improvements:

• You can now import your own exchange rates for Cost Estimates. A new centralized import screen is available for managing all imports, including cases, trips, and exchange rates.
• When initiating a case, the additional information and flex choices tabs are now visible for all users (not just stakeholders initiators and collaborators).

• You can now provide IATA codes for Origin and Destination when importing trips. Workia will automatically map these to the correct locations.
• The immigration section has been updated with a new country field to track the specific country of the immigration record and a cancelled status has been added.
• The tax section now contains a field for tracking Questionnaire Due Date when the tax type is Tax Return.
• Addressed multiple security improvements.
