Workia Release Notes (20250328.4)

Product Improvements:

  • Added a new option for US outbound cost estimates, to input "Other Deductions" in the Tax Cost Options for the United States, allowing for more accurate itemized deductions.
  • Added a feature allowing admin users to grant temporary admin access for a specified period of time, allowing access for support teams when needed. Learn more about user roles here!

Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue preventing users from deleting tickets with tags.
  • Fixed a problem where additional information wasn't displaying for collaborators during an initiation.
  • Fixed an error related to job titles in merge documents and reports.
  • Fixed access issues for certain roles regarding shared Cost Estimates.
  • Fixed an issue where Docusign did not always work for production Docusign apps.

Workia Release Notes (20250321.9)

Product Improvements:

  • You can now delete an employee record. All cases related to the employee will also be deleted.
  • We updated comment security, with an option to make comments employee-visible.
  • Added a housing and utilities deduction description to clarify employee costs.
  • The general information section now includes Origin job title and grade, with existing fields updated to reflect destination job title and grade.
  • You can now select home tax residency for cost estimates with supported tax inputs.

Employee and Mobility Apps:

  • Various updates to improve usability and functionality.

Fixes:

  • Fixed issues with notifications not being sent when a user is tagged on comments.
  • Fixed an issue preventing the addition of checklist task SLAs for the first time.
  • Fixed an issue where emails could not be generated from action buttons when the template included a list merge.
  • Fixed an issue where planner cost estimate templates were not working for custom case types.

New: Mobility Manager App

Product Improvements:

  • You can now skip list component steps during merge document and email template creation if the relevant row is missing, streamlining the process and preventing the selection of incorrect data.
  • Added a field for indicating if a dependent is accompanying the employee on the move.
  • Introduced a new cost estimate line item for Housing & Utility Deduction to allow for adjustments to housing allowance calculations.

Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue where including the "&" character did not allow values to be saved when input.

New Feature: Automations

We're excited to introduce automated alerts and notifications in Workia! Set up notifications for events like case creation, email replies, approval updates, and document expirations.

💡We're expanding automation options based on your feedback - please message us in the app with any suggestions!


Product Improvements:

  • Be more personal - send plans, cost estimates, approvals and e-signature documents from your own email address (not the Workia one). The selector appears when you click share or send for approval.
  • It's easier to control employee visibility on comments, with the new employee visible checkbox.
  • New progress tracker! The case summary now displays the progress through the current status, based on the tasks in the checklist.
  • All system emails, even inactive users, are now shown in the requestor list for tickets.
  • Added an option to download both errors and warnings from imports in one file.
  • The case type dropdown on the case screen now show types by category, for better usability and organization.
  • Collaborators can now view flex benefit choices.
  • In the mobility manager app, we added incremental costs for Cost Estimations, added Employee identifiers, introduced the new logic for comments shared with the Employee, added the capacity to approve an Approval from the App.

Fixes:

  • Resolved an issue where the requestor didn’t appear immediately on new tickets.
  • Fixed a bug allowing Docusign signature blocks to appear side by side with better spacing.
  • Fixed an issue where destination job grade wouldn’t save with special characters.
  • Corrected a bug allowing negative family sizes.

Cost Estimate Improvements:

  • Updated templates to include new line items for pet shipments and taxable compensation (inactive by default).
  • Added a line item for family language lessons.
  • Added options for 45 and 55 days in the Temporary Living dropdown.
  • Updated default recommendation for household goods shipments to a 40 ft container for families of 3+.
  • Updated AirInc data for various categories, including airfare, car allowance, housing, per diem, and more.

Checklist Improvements:

  • Tasks in checklists can now be allocated to different statuses (e.g. planning, active etc), making it easier to track progress through a status.
  • The checklist automatically opens the status that is currently active and progress through the status is tracked by the number of tasks represented as bars below the title.
  • Find out more about how to use the new checklist features here and let us know your thoughts!

💡More updates are coming to the top of the case screen, to provide a better idea of status and progress on a case.

Other Improvements:

  • More employee IDs! Track multiple employee identifiers by clicking the list button next to the employee number.

  • The case owner will now receive a notification when all parties sign a Docusign document.
  • Date fields in merge documents now use the DD MMM YYYY format.
  • Added pagination to reports for better performance with large datasets.
  • You can now export charts in reports as images.
  • Audit history has arrived in cost estimates (find it within the three dots when viewing a cost estimate).
  • The default Tax Residency position for Switzerland Home Residency is now "yes" for long-term equalized templates.

Fixes:

  • Fixed email threads not showing fully in PDF previews.
  • Fixed an issue with list merge tags causing trouble by not deleting from templates.
  • Fixed issue with extra contacts appearing when creating emails from templates.

  • A preview button has been added to initiation configuration, allowing users to preview changes to the initiation fields (e.g. when adding salary), without having to log in as a collaborator.
  • It's now possible to link allowances to specific payrolls, using a new drop down on the allowance screen.
  • New fields have been added to the employee section, to track employment status, hire and termination dates.

Fixes:

  • Resolved an issue with changing case type for some cases.
  • Fixed blank screen issue after being signed out (now redirects to the login screen).
